Bern Smart City

Digitalstrategie Stadt Bern. From 1 to 3 November 2020, digitalswitzerland and its partners transformed the country into an open venue for community collaboration with free events and startups had the opportunity to pitch at the startup battle.

The Swiss capital Bern is already rated one of the worldโ€™s best cities for the quality of urban living (7th), now it is becoming a Smart City. Under the motto “Smart City Connects”, Bern with its partners Digital Switzerland, Bernmobil, BLS and Energie Wasser Bern are working together on the digital future. Smart City projects with open collaboration across organizational boundaries is what makes Smart City Bern possible, for example with solutions in the e-mobility or renewable energy sector. Thanks to digital technologies, services are becoming faster, more resource-efficient and more efficient via their startups and SMEs ecosystem.
